John, There were reports on the LL board that HP is replacing rollers with a newer design if users request it. Haven't had time to try this out before, but I'm on the phone right now with tech support setting up a service call to swap in the redesigned roller mechanism and output platen. Shoot me an email next week to remind me to post the results.
