We did a lot of work on canvas with our DJ90 and the results are very good.
Beware though, that the DJ90 is a later design in some ways than the 130/30 series, so our findings only apply to our DJ90. We wanted to do wraps of about 17+ inches, and the only physical way to do this using 24 inch canvas was to fold the side edges under and use a clothes iron to flatten the fold, thus producing an 18 inch medium which, when printing is finished, folds out to 24 inches width. After much trial and error, we found that 24 inch 17mil Canson XP, and a couple of other unbranded 17mil canvases, will do this repeatedly and without any head strike or damage. We've done dozens and dozens of these. We discovered that a 20mil canvas will go through this way but there is a tiny amount of head drag, leaving very small amounts of ink at the edge, outside the image, in the border areas. If we have to use 20mil we paint acrylic white over this, since it's only visible here and there on the white border, which becomes part of the side after wrapping. I have read once that the 90 takes thicker material than the 130/30 series, so beware. It's interesting though, that 17mil is 17/1000 of an inch, which is 0.863mm when doubled. 20 mil when doubled is 1.016mm, so I would say that the DJ90, through the rear feed, will probably take up to 1.00mm thickness material.
