Gene: I have been printing B&W with an HP 130 on Photo Satin for a
while now. At first I thought the results using the HP provided canned
profiles were good enough but have since moved on to custom profiles
made by Neil Snape. The results are much better with the custom
profile. However, with the dye inks on satin it seems impossible to
make absolutely neutral prints and all are highly illuminant
dependent. Just something to remember. I suggest you contact Neil. He
might be ble to send you a profile to try on Satin (even without doing
a custom workup since you need to print quickly), if you try the canned
HP profiles and find them lacking in some regard. The 130 is capable
of printing great B&W (especially warm-toned) but it is not as straight
forward as I naively expected a few years ago.
