Hi all,

I've been having problems with poor image quality from my printer for
a while. I was able to ignore the problem for a year or better by
getting Lightjet prints done at the lab, but I need my printer back.
In dark areas (in gamut) the print looks like an out of gamut warning
in photoshop and the area goes a bright teal/gray on the print. The
printer was flashing that the LC head was bad so I replaced it and at
the same time upgraded to the latest firmware. I'm running a G4 mac
with 10.4.10.

I have had to replace three heads so far, but half of my ink
cartridges are still original. The printer has not been used in a year
because of the print quality issue.

I called HP tech support, but since the printer is out of warranty
they want $40+tax to talk to me, even though the new print heads are
still under warranty.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Regards,
