My preference is toward silver printing. So 200 year life of a digital
print is not impressive as AA's prints have been evaluated and found
to have a 4,000 year life span under ideal conditions. Digital is a
some what less serious persuit for me personally. John Sexton and I
both agree that we have yet to see a digital print that looks as good
as a well excuted silver print. I've been looking for several years
and have not yet seen one. However, I visted the Weston gallery in
Carmel last fall and found that the gallery is selling digital prints
in a separate room for the silver prints. I was God-Smooked and was a
turning point in my opinion of digital.
