Z6100 shares the same ink set as the z2100, it is targeted for production printing, hence the 42" and looses the spectrophotometer in the non PS version. Speed is 8x the 3100/2100 and it comes with over 3K worth of ink compared to the 2100/3100. Ink cost is less ( .38 vs. .54/ml). Color variance is same as2100 vs. 3100, so no RGB cartridges or Gloss enhancer. Gut feel that coupled with a RIP and printing production qty matte media i.e. art paper or canvas, a z6100 is an excellent printer for the job/given the color range. a PS adds back the Gretag eye one if you want to bypass a 3rd party rip and work onboard. I don't think printing on photo stock for other than advertising/marketing pieces is going to fly due to the bronzing. This really is replacement to the 5500 not a big brother to the 3100 or even targeted to the same audience, regardless of the crossover appeal.
