Its been interesting reading the various comments on the 130 printer.
We run a 1 hour digital photo lab in Adelaide South Australia, and have had a
130NR for 4 years now. In that time, we had HP out once in the first few months
to fix some some feed problem or other. Since then I have called HP once with
some other minor issue which was fixed on the phone. We have replaced the
cutter blade once in that time and have NEVER yet replaced the print heads.
We average 2 rolls a week of 24in canvas for our customer canvas orders. We use
Torino 17M canvas and other than a couple of issues with bad cutting from the
manufacturers, it has not been a problem. We also do publicity banners on
polypropelyne backed material.
All in all, it has been a great printer, and has more than earned its keep. We
looked at replacing it a little while back, but decided that if there ain't
nothing wrong, then why fix it.
Sure it has its foibles, but we are used to them, and we work with them. Its
quality is excellent, and the color balance is great. We have not used ANY
profiles to set it up, we just experimented with the various HP setups and
lucked in on one that is perfect.

I've had my DJ 130 for over a year now and it was the best purchase I've made
in a printer,
I never used the Epson 7600 but a friend of mine has the Epson 4000 and the
one
complaint he has about the printer is that if you don't use it regularly it
will clog.
I use matte paper but not from HP I use Red River Paper Aurora Art Paper it
is a 100%
cotton rag, acid free and has no Optical Brighteners, I found the output to
be very good.
As far as longevity I coat mine using a product from Breathing Color called
Glamour II
  Veneer.
  I hope this helps.
