Nils, The theory is that the 130's built in calibration corrects for variations in ink, paper, etc.,. You then use the ICC profile to tweak the image data so the resulting print is to a known standard. I think it makes a visible difference, but...
That said, I pretty much always use the unit with the HP paper - they have a number of entries in their "data table" where you could put the calibration data. Hopefully somebody who prints with a bunch of different papers will reply with the "hot ticket" for this.
