Hi Cy, I'm not sure what file I'd recommend, but I would think that printing a 3 inch strip every week should be just about enough to keep it happy.
I'd just make up a 2 or 3 ft wide file, that uses all colours, heaps of text, and a number of full width strips of each primary colour (cmyk) each one only needs to be about half an inch high. I've done something similar when I've had trouble with nozzles misfiring or blocked, and I've had more success printing a pattern like that, rather than just solid blocks of colour. Do you have UV or dye inks installed? I've occasionally had trouble with my 3500CP, but I've been amazed at how forgiving it can be in that regard, although I think that the UV ink sets can be a little more fussy than the dye. I recently refitted my dye set for the fist time in 7 or 8 months and it worked fist off. All heads firing beautifully. About a month later when I refitted the UV, I spent quite a while fussing about until it came good.
