This looks like a foomatic-rip filter issue since the "gs" command is missing in your cups error log. Here are some things to check.
1. Are there multiple copies of foomatic-rip in your PATH? Should be in /usr/bin/foomatic-rip only. 2. Foomatic-rip should be version 3.43.2.15 or higher. 3. HPLIP 0.9.10 tar ball installs foomatic-rip v3.43.2.15. Make sure foomatic-rip is not corrupted some how. > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of > Ricardo Lima > Sent: Wednesday, May 03, 2006 2:56 AM > To: Cauligi, Raghothama S > Cc: hplip-devel@lists.sourceforge.net > Subject: Re: [HPLIP-Devel] HPLIP and GS > > > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- > Hash: SHA1 > > Hi Raghu, > Thank you for your interest. > > I am sorry, the log that I have included in the email has a > reference to the Deskjet 970.
