Hello, Is there anything that would cause trouble scanning on a big-endian machine?
I would love to be able to debug this problem ... I am using hplip 1.6.9 on a powerpc-based gentoo linux box (a kurobox). I am having trouble scanning with a hp psc 2210 all-in-one printer. Printing works fine. When I use scanimage, the printer carriage starts moving and it seems like the printer gets all confused ... no scanning happens. I get this message from scanimage: scanimage: open of device hpaio:/usb/PSC_2200_Series?serial=MY32GF40ZK0G failed: Device busy $ scanimage -L device `hpaio:/usb/PSC_2200_Series?serial=MY32GF40ZK0G' is a hp PSC_2200_Series multi-function peripheral device `hpaio:/usb/PSC_2200_Series?serial=MY32GF40ZK0G' is a hp PSC_2200_Series multi-function peripheral $ uname -a Linux guro 2.6.18_kurobox_hg #2 Sun Oct 1 12:48:46 EDT 2006 ppc 82xx GNU/Linuxscanimage -L The same printer setup works with no problems scanning on my gentoo AMD64 box. Please give me some hints on where to look ... I can look at code and test changes if necessary. I can use usbmon ... I debugged a similar problem on this platform that way with LCDProc.
