Currently, we only support PC fax send, so we have only looked into
supporting I/O that is for dialing and sending, not answering and receiving.
So, I don't currently know how to do this. I am sure it is probably possible
on at least some mulifunction devices. This would probably require uploading
the device's fax log, which is not code that I have even started yet (it is
planned for a future date).

Sorry I can't be of more help,

Don

Hello, I've just joined the list. Thanks to everyone for a great piece of
software.

Some time ago I wrote a small program to listen to a Fax/Modem for caller
ID data, and display the name and number on the PC's in my house. The only
modem I have is an ISA one, and so I keep an old P133 around to do the job.

I was wondering if I could somehow get this data from my HP PSC 2210's fax
line. Does anyone know if I can retrieve the caller ID info, and possibly
ring events from hplip? Or does hplip deal strictly with sending bitmaps to
a printer spool?
