Hello All

First I would like to thank all of you for the effort that
you have all put into creating these Linux drivers for HP printers. I
wanted to report a bug and how I managed to get around to it. I
downloaded the automatic installer version 1.6.12 and ran it as
instructed. I had to install reportlab manually. Also I had to add the
additional repositories to yast. All this worked just fine with one
exception. The installer failed to recognize that cups had been
installed. Looking through yast it looked like everything was
installed. So to try to fix it I performed the folowing:

1) I removed it from Yast and re-installed it within Yast, still failed
2) Removed all again and tried to let the auto installer install it.
Still failed despite Yast reporting it installed
3) tried a custom install, reported that cups was not installed,
attempted to skip past the auto-install in hopes that it would install
without confirmation that cups was installed.

So some details on my system.

Suse 10.0 x64
AMD Athlon64 3200+
512MB RAM

So then I attempted things on the mannual install. Following the
instructions on the website everything worked fine. Let me know if you
need anymore details. I personally don't need anymore help everything
seems to be working now. I am just reporting this so hopefully this
problem could be fixed.

Take Care
Mike McW
