Hi,
I tried HPLIP 1.6.12 using the installer.
I got an error on dependency for cups.
A search with "cups install lang" on the list didn't help. I searched
around and find a (for me) working solution.
The log looks like
hplip-install[2178]: debug: ***
hplip-install[2178]: debug: Checking for dependency 'cups'...
hplip-install[2178]: debug: Scheduler läuft
hplip-install[2178]: debug: CUPS is running.
hplip-install[2178]: debug: have cups = 0
hplip-install[2178]: debug: ***
If I set LANG=C the installer works fine
hplip-install[2341]: debug: Checking for dependency 'cups'...
hplip-install[2341]: debug: scheduler is running
hplip-install[2341]: debug: CUPS is running.
hplip-install[2341]: debug: have cups = 1
hplip-install[2341]: debug: ***
As I'n not firm with python I'm happy to get the installation up and
running. Maybe someone can have a look on the testing structure.
If I can help, e.g. check/test something in german language, please send
me a mail.
