Hello,

I think I've searched everywhere.....

Anyway, I've a PSC2510 configured for wireless operation. It was a snap
to get printing working over the wireless network.

The question is if scanning is supported/possible over the network? If
so, can someone point me to the configuration howto?

scanimage -L only returns info on my TV card.

Well, in a roundabout way I did confirm that scanning over the network
is possible. I configured hplip and the printer on a Fedora Core
system. In Fedora Core 5 the scanning is working over the network.

On the Fedora Core system I get

[EMAIL PROTECTED] sane.d]$ scanimage -L
device `hpaio:/net/psc_2500_series?ip=192.168.0.10' is a hp
psc_2500_series multi-function peripheral
device `hpaio:/net/psc_2500_series?ip=192.168.0.10' is a hp
psc_2500_series multi-function peripheral

But, on my RHELv4 system I get only

[EMAIL PROTECTED] sane.d]$ scanimage -L
device `v4l:/dev/video0' is a Noname BT878 video (Prolink Pixelview
virtual device

Hummmmmm......

P.S. The mailing list configuration probably should be "fixed". When I
do a "reply" the reply address is the sender of the message and not the
list. I think it is customary to have the list configured so replies go
to the list and not the originator.

Things to look at:

1. Make sure all your netsnmp libraries are installed
2. Make sure that "hpaio" is listed in the SANE conf file (/etc/sane.d/dll.conf)
