I'm using hpijs 2.6.6 (hplip 1.6.6) with an HP Deskjet 6540 on Fedora Core 5. The printer is used to print labels for file folders, and it works well except for one small printing glitch; a filled rectangle with text in it is not consistently filled. See a sample here:

I have tried altering the color of the numbers printed inside the rectangle with no change. I have tried setting and unsetting the "Convert text to postscript" driver option, but no joy.
If I use a generic postscript driver, this problem does not occur (but then the colors are all sort of wrong...).
Any suggestions??
