Running Dapper Drake. Installed current version of HPLIP, followed
instructions on website, which states that HP officejet d145 is supported
through a USB connection.
I ran /usr/lib/cups/backend/hp and got this information:
####
direct hp:/usb/officejet_d_series?serial=SG29ND1020RR "HP officejet d
series" "HP officejet d series USB SG29ND1020RR HPLIP" "MFG:HP;MDL:officejet
d series;CLS:PRINTER;DES:officejet d series;SN:SG29ND1020RR;"
####
On the final step of the install I did get conflicting PPM information:
warning:
####

Neither option seemed like a slam dunk to me, but I have tried both, and
neither has yielded a functional printer.
The Test Page is "Completed", but nothing happens with my $400 10-pound slab
of plastic and glass.
That said, I can use it to scan things. I have not tested the Fax
functionality.
Can someone help me get this stupid printer working?
