Hi, I am using SLED10 distibution and have been printing and scanning successfully with my PSC 1610 All-in-One, through the USB connection. See ing as I am running 2 machines now, I thought I could hook up a USB print server and print through that. It works very well when using Windows, even a VMWare Vista Virtual Machine running on my Linux box will print through the USB Print Server.But I just cannot get it to work with the Linux distribution.Using the command hp-makeuri 192.168.0.10 <http://192.168.0.10> constantly reports no device found, I have enabled ipp client, ipp server, port 9100 and tcp/ip protocol in my firewall, and then set it back to default settings again, nothing makes a difference. The USB Print Server device can be pinged at its permanent IP address 192.168.0.10 <http://192.168.0.10>, I have snmp installed. I can almost set it up using YAST, but there seems to be some problems with the drivers when using the USB Print server, when I print a test page from YAST, graphics without photo, I get a one line of text at the top of the page and then blank pages until I cancel the test. If I save that printer and then do a test print from Gnome, I get the actual html code printed out of the Novell printer test page, not the graphics.
