What version of hplip are you running? What distro?

Can you run hp-check and post the output?

Thanks!

Hello,

I'd like to ask some help for activating the scanning functions of my
Officjet 6310.
I've setup the printer with CUPS web interface and it prints OK.
But no software accepts it as a scanner.
See :
*********************
$ sane-find-scanner
(...comments removed...)
found USB scanner (vendor=0x03f0, product=0x5311) at libusb:005:004

$ scanimage -L

No scanners were identified. If you were expecting something different,
check that the scanner is plugged in, turned on and detected by the
sane-find-scanner tool (if appropriate). Please read the documentation
which came with this software (README, FAQ, manpages).
