Hi Martin, The templates we posted are as recommendation and a starting point for CD printing. We spent a lot of time trying to generate the perfect templates, but as you point out, it is not absolutely centered. If you come across other apps or a better glabel template, please let us know and we will update the documentation. Under Windows, the apps and the print subsystem are tightly coupled, it is not yet so under Linux. In time, we hope a standard emerges and provides for a much better user experience. Thanks Raghu

The only serious problem I found was that the CD wasn't printed right, for which I guess the templates are to blame (found at http://hplip.sourceforge.net/howtos/printing.html#cddvd) I can see residue on the non-printable area at the left side, on the hole, and I see a blank curve at the right and 2 blank circles at the center. http://www.mvdvlist.nl/cd-printout-wrong.jpg for a picture of it. If necessary, I can highlight the residue area's. A design-issue of Linux (using Ubuntu 6.06) that caught my attention, was the number of settings I had to make. I have to change the settings to CD from the Gnome- or cups-interface every time I want to print CDs. Why can't that be in glabels? Maybe I can make 3 printers for the same printer: one for pictures, one for CDs, and one for regular texts, but in some way, I don't like it. In Windows that part of the architecture is better (or I don't understand the gnome interfaces ;)). Martin ------------------------------------------------------------------------ - Take Surveys.
