Hello,

I am having trouble scanning with an OfficeJet 4110xi on a Fedora Core 6
machine with HPLIP 1.6.10. I can print fine, but when I try to scan with
xsane, after a long pause, I get "Failed to open device
`hpaio:/usb/officejet_4110_series?serial=MY33VB10G34Z': Error during device
I/O."

The terminal output while running xsane is:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$ xsane
[sanei_debug] Setting debug level of dll to 128.

As you will see, I have commented out all entries in /etc/sane.d/dll.conf
except for hpaio...

I have reviewed most of the scanning postings to the mailing list for the
past 90 days, as well as reviewed
http://hplip.sourceforge.net/troubleshooting/scanning.html to no avail.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
