I am running a 930C under Ubuntu and HPLIP version 1.6.12. I also use
Gutenprint 5.0 to print b & w photographs, as I can alter the settings
in the later to give a better (neutral) monochrome than with HPLIP,
which gives me a noticeable blue cast.
Using either toolbox or hp-align to align, the printer merely spits out
a blank page, while using hp-colorcal gives me the message - Color
calibration not supported or required by device.
I can use hp-align for my psc1110 that I also have connected.
I would like to attend these issues, as I find that HPLIP gives me a
sharper image than those attainable with Gutenprint, no matter which
dither pattern is used in the latter.
With thanks,
Robin.
