I have a new D4160 Deskjet that I am trying to serve using CUPS and HPLIP on a local host. It works, mostly, except that after two or so print jobs, the green and yellow lights flash rapidly and printing stops. It seems to happen right at the end of a print job, though, like right when the last page is ejected. The only way to get the printer back is to press the green cancel button. Doing that, though, causes CUPS to lose contact with the printer, and I then have to restart CUPS.
Has any one else experienced anything similar, or can anyone at least offer some clues as to where to start looking? ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
