I found all the dependencies, just installed from source. Now hp-check runs perfectly without returning any error. But xsane just halts and crashes, as it did before... I suppose there is something bad in the messages sent to the HP OJ. If it gets in the state "Waiting to scan." it should mean that it's ready to scan, but nothing happens. Seems like it's waiting from some other message...
