Hello,
I just bought one of the new intel core duo chip based iMacs. I have an HP OfficeJet R80 all in one (print/scan/fax/copy) that I would like to use. As I read through the discussion groups am I correct in assuming that the driver being developed by this project will allow my old all in one unit to operate on my new imac? (My HP R80 is listed as supported for this driver)

I also need to find a printer cable with an IEEE 1284 compliant (36 pin Centronics) connector on one end..and a standard USB 2.0 connector on the other.

Assuming I can find the correct cable (they seem to be out there..) and can download the HPLIP driver... will all the functions of my R80 (print, scan, fax) work with my new iMac? Please respond ASAP, as I was thinking I'd have to buy a new printer, but really like the R80) and would prefer not to.

Thanks for any help or advice you can offer!
