Hi, I'm GnomeScan ( http://home.gna.org/gnomescan/index ) developer and i'm involved (a bit) in SANE. We (SANE people) are discussing SANE standard evolution (more well-known options and SANE 2 API) at [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list. I never saw a response of hplip developer.
