I dowloaded hplip 1.7.1 for use with an officejet 7310. I installed it. no issues.
When I run hp-makeuri 192.168.1.125 it says: error Device not found. Others using windows are printing to this printer. I then found examples of what the uri should look like. I went on to printer config and installed with CUPS IPP and entered the URI of hp:/net/Officejet_7310_series?ip=192.168.1.125 It did not print a test page and the message I get is: unable to lookup host 'hp' unkown host.
