yes, the workaround with scanimage and settings the y-value works.
xsane (0.99 latest version) works out of the box when doing the final
scan (21.31cm x 29.53cm), when doing the preview scan the default is
also false, but you can switch to format A4.
kooka which is invoked from hp-toolbox can't produce a correct scan.
I hope the libsane-hpaio backend can be improved to deliver the accurate
top-left y value.
