Hello,

I hope this is the right place to ask. :) I've bought a Laserjet 4050
yesterday and while it works perfectly using about any driver I tried
(postscript, pxlmono, hpijs), one thing does not: I have a PDF file which I
want to print in landscape orientation (using Acrobat Reade 7.0.7). While
printing does work, the pages come out in portrait orientation (doesn't
matter which driver I use) - the printer (?) scales the landscape-content
down, so that it fits in portrait orientation, leaving lots of white space
above and below the content. I'm using the PPD which came with Cups /
Foomatic.[1] I'm using Cups 1.2.7 and hplip 1.6.12 and print to the printer
via network (there is a HP JetDirect card installed in the printer)

I just tried, it also doesn't matter whether I set the printer to portrait or
landscape orientation using the printer menu itself. :/

Regards,
Philipp Wollermann
