Based on your feedback your system is having USB issues. The hpiod error "Resource temporarily unavailable" means USB data writes are timing out. This message comes from the libusb/usbfs.
If you cannot get printing to work, scanning will definitely not work. This because scanning is more I/O intensive than printing. Printing only uses "raw" I/O where scanning requires 1284.4/MLC I/O. What I'm trying say is debug the print job first, then worry about scanning. Remove any USB hubs and plug directly into the PC. If you are not using a hub, try a different USB bus connection on the PC. -dave > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf > Of Christopher Elsby > Sent: Saturday, February 17, 2007 8:20 AM > To: [email protected] > Subject: [Hplip-help] Problem with PSC 2210 (2200 series): > "Resource temporarily available" and "ERROR: ready to print" > > Hello, > > I am trying to use an HP PSC 2210 multifunction device with a > PC running Gentoo Linux. > I set it up several months ago, and it worked fine until a > couple of weeks ago.
