I am trying to install an HP P2015d on our Fedora 4 system.
When I try sh hplip-2.7.7.run, I get to:

Do you wish to enable 'CUPS support for HPIJS' (y=yes*, n=no, q=quit) ? y
(Gecko:3688): Gdk-WARNING **: gdk_property_get(): length value has
wrapped in calculation (did you pass G_MAXLONG?)

and Firefox pops up, (unless it's already running, in which case
Firefox asks for a profile)

I answer "y" and confirm Fedora 4 as distro/OS.

Then I get:
RUNNING PRE-INSTALL COMMANDS
----------------------------

INSTALL MISSING REQUIRED DEPENDENCIES
-------------------------------------
warning: There are 2 missing REQUIRED dependencies.
note: Installation of dependencies requires an active internet connection.
warning: Missing REQUIRED dependency: gcc (gcc - GNU Project C and C++
Compiler)
error: This installer cannot install this dependency for your
distro/OS and/or version.
error: Installation cannot continue without this dependency. Please
manually install this dependency and re-run this installer.

and the system prompt returns.

But I do have gcc installed. What do I do now?
