Hi,

Is anyone using a scanner/multifunction with an ADF that they would consider as
amenable to scripting (from Linux)? Ideally the scanner/multifunction would
support duplex scanning (though I understand hplip doesn't support duplex
scanning yet, I could always hope/help to have it supported in the future, and
fall back on another OS if I desperately needed to in rare cases).

I'm trying to find the best solution to enable scanning (probably to PDF) mail
and miscellaneous documents with a button press (ideally) and having a file go
to a server without any naming necessary. Ideally I'd like the PDF to have
text embedded, or I would want to script up an ocr step to categorize the file
based on content (if my bank's name appears then rename the file, put it in my
bank statement directory, and maybe add some pdf keywords/tags/etc).

So far it looks like a 73xx series might do the trick.

Thanks,
Martin
