I'm using Gentoo-based distro
#uname -a
Linux sabayon 2.6.22-sabayon #1 SMP Sun Sep 2 22:23:05 UTC 2007 i686 AMD
Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3000+ AuthenticAMD GNU/Linux
and MFD from HP - HP PSC 2175
There's cups-1.2.12 and latest hplip-2.7.7-r2
All works fine, but I can scan images only with root access.
Xsane and scanimage being runned under usual user cannot find the scanner!
How to resolve the problem?
