Dear Sir,
I am a new user to the Linux system and i wanted to install my HP
DeskjetF370 (PSC) on my Debian OS.
Hence i followed the instructions for installing HPLIP but after the Message
: " Missing Required DEPENDENCIES and Optional ones" it checks for NETWORK
connection and says ok. Then it keeps running Pre-Package Commands instead
of the ones shown in the installation guide.

I am using a proxy server with no user name and password :
I have enabled proxy by the command 'export
http_proxy=http://<my-proxyserver-id:port>'

My Debian Version as Obtained from 'cat /proc/version ' is "Linux version
2.6.18-4-686 (Debian 2.6.18.dfsg.1-12) ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) (gcc version
4.1.220061115 (prerelease) (Debian
4.1.1-21)) #1 SMP Mon Mar 26 17:17:36 UTC 2007 "
So when it asked that whether my Debian is of release 4.0 , I said yes.

So can u please help me to sort out this problem as early as possible ?

I wud be very grateful to you for your kind help.
Awaiting your early reply,

With Regards,
Anshul Ranjan
