Case in point, today's show says

"For show notes, please visit https://linuxinlaws.eu";

After some searching we get to a page which has notes and a piece of
code that (I presume - haven't listened yet ) is discussed in the show.
Assuming it is then, the "show" in this case consists of the audio + the
code been discussed.

There is no copyright attribution so therefore everything is "copyright
all right reserved" by default. So I can not just copy and paste them in
as they are not released under a Creative Commons License.

However as everything posted to HPR is under the Creative Commons
platform, and that Show Notes are mandatory, can I just copy and paste it ?

But if I do that then I also need to confirm that they actually own the
site they are pointing to, which is not always obvious.

- hackerpublicradio.org/stuff_you_need_to_know.php#permission

This is not the first time we have had to contact hosts about this and
get it sorted. Sometimes the notes are updated by the host, or we get
permission to use them, or we need to add them.

In any event it's a *lot* less work if the hosts provide the show notes.
