Hi Pranav,
The first thing to do would be to get a bit more familiar with HPX by building it and writing a small program which uses HPX, e.g. matrix-matrix multiplication, but you can choose whatever seems interesting to you. We'll ask all applicants to show their implementation together with their application, just to make sure that they've understood the basic concepts. This does not mean being an expert in HPX or writing an extremely optimized program, so just keep it simple. For discussing the projects themselves I suggest you hop onto IRC as it's easier to discuss there. I (simbergm on IRC) am responsible for the ROCm project and John Biddiscombe (jbjnr on IRC) is responsible for the concurrent data structures project. I suggest you talk a bit to us on IRC and focus on one project only. We're both on CET btw.
