Specifically surrounding migrating to a new SCM platform, merging, and branching. We also needed more experience from both candidates in application deployment and defining resources within WebSphere. Responsibilities • Support development tools, VCS and continuous integration environment. • Support Dev and QA WebSphere applications and environment • Support Dev and QA J2SE standalone Java applications and environment • Support deployment process for DEV, QA and production Requirements • 5+ years experience with WebSphere App Server and Tomcat from development, configuration and deployment perspective. • 5+ years experience with UNIX and shell scripting. • Experience with Maven. • Experience with Eclipse IDE and plugin configuration. • Experience with continuous integration tools such as Hudson. • Experience with CVS and Subversion. • Experience with administrating WebSphere App Server through wsadmin using Jython scripting. • Experience with RPM is a plus. • Experience with Java coding is a plus. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Visio. • Must be a strong contributor individually and as a team. • Comfortable with a fast-paced development environment with conflicting priorities and juggling multiple high-profile projects at any given time. • B.S. or Masters Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
