When did that change? It certainly wasn't true when I took over our setup
which was running 3.0.something at the time.
I finally worked out that we were gradually filling our disks because
while the -i flag to htdig was starting that stage from scatch, htmerge
had no such flag and was merging the results from htdig into the existing
database. Every week the database grew by about 50Mb until eventually ...
I solved the probem by starting it afresh in an empty directory every time
I do a reindex. How does htmerge know to discard the existing database in
the above, htmerge has no flag to tell it to dump the existing one.
