It's actually pretty easy to figure out common words. Try something like:
awk '{print $1;"' db.wordlist | uniq -c | sort -rn | head -50
For example, on htdig.org:
11424 date
11423 htdig
11343 archive
11334 subject
11332 author
11330 message
11318 thread
11001 list
10738 generated
10696 sorted
