Define "newest version."

If you're talking about the 3.2.0b3 release, you can index file:// URLs,
e.g.
start_url: file:///usr/share/doc/
This will generate "directory indexes" along the way and thus you do not
need to link files. However, it will index *everything* that's not
restricted by other attributes. So you probably don't want to index
anything containing private directories.
