I'd also ask what the external_parsers attribute is set to, and what
configurations and customisations have been applied to the doc2html.pl
script.  Getting a "No filename given" given error from doc2html.pl
would seem to suggest that the script has been misconfigured, possibly
with an incorrect command line for a conversion filter that's been added
to the script.  Certainly, running the script from the command line is
a good way to test it, and to sort out whether the problem is in the
script or in htdig.
