Hi there,
we've tried hard to understand those really brilliantly written FAQs.
We've really tried to understand how HTDIG really works. But we're still
in need of help... Okay ;) it goes something like this
We have a server called IP1. This server hosts a mailing list. We want to
crawl and index this and make it searchable via HTDIG. Bingo, no prob.
We have a second server IP2. We have an online portal (php-powered) on
which we want people to able to use HTDIG with the search data from IP1. A
nice one-line URL.
So we checked out the templates, built the database, changed the php code
our IP2s page and VOILA: it worked. We get really great results, we have
the design fitted into the CI of the php portal. Fantastic.
So why this mail?
Everytime we try to read - let's say - page no.4 or 5 of the results
(doesn't matter which one) HTDIG tries to get the data for these next pages and
gets somehow into the wrong path. It tries to get to a password protected
page from another program on our server (that one's called webalizer; it's
not a cgi-bin located program, though!)
So where the heck does the path turn out wrong? How and where can we force
HTDIG to do what WE want, not the bloody program? ;)
Any help, any suggestion would be greatly appreciated!!
