This is extremely strange. There is nothing different in how page 4 
is generated by the code than say page 2. Granted, going to page 2 
(or 4 or whatever) is somewhat different from generating the first 
page of results. But it sounds like you're describing something 
different.

Are you using PHP to wrap around htsearch? Perhaps there's some issue 
with the PHP code and the ; delimeters between CGI parameters as 
specified by the new HTML 4.0 spec? (See 
<http://htdig.sourceforge.net/FAQ.html#q5.21>)
