Hi,
I'm trying to compile ht://dig on SunOS 5.5.1
I executed the "configure" command, after running through configs for
some time I get this at the end:
checking for ar... missing_ar
configure: error: No ar utility found.
configure: error: ./configure failed for db
What is an "ar utility" and did the config work? This appears to
be the only error. I went ahead and tried the "make" command to
see if that would work, and got this:
Making all in db
make[1]: Entering directory `/web/tpt/www/cgi-bin/htdig-3.2.0b3/db'
make[1]: *** No rule to make target `all'. Stop.
make[1]: Leaving directory `/web/tpt/www/cgi-bin/htdig-3.2.0b3/db'
make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
Any help is greatly appreciated!
