The version of rundig in installdir is the uninstalled version.  The
"make install" installs the copy you should be running, changing the
strings of @BIN_DIR@ to the value set for BIN_DIR in your configuration.
You shouldn't be running anything directly from installdir.

Yes, rundig normally runs quietly, so it can be run from a cron job.  If
you want more feedback, run "rundig -v", or use -s, or both -v -s.
