Hi, I'm trying to build the latest stable release on Mac OS X Server
10.0.3, but having problems. I checked the list archives for info, but the
last discussion was in 1999, so it doesn't really seem to apply. Here's
the problem: when I try ./configure, it stops with the following error
checking host system type... configure: error: can not guess host type; you must
specify one
configure: error: ./configure failed for db/dist
I'm guessing this means automake still doesn't recognize MacOS X Server.
What do I do about this? I'm extremely new to the world of do-it-yourself
software, and have very little knowledge about this sort of thing beyond
the standard "configure-make-make install" cycle. TIA!
