This is an error message that should indicate that you haven't actually
indexed anything:

> -rw-r--r--  1 root  www  2048 Jul 16 11:10 db.docdb
> -rw-r--r--  1 root  www     0 Jul 16 11:10 db.wordlist.new

The minimum size for a db.docdb on most platforms is 2K. So what I'd do is
run htdig with more debugging output (say "htdig -vvvv") and see what the
problem is.
