Hi,
I'm new to htdig. I've got it installed and built the database. I can
search and htsearch returns a page saying it's showing results 1 - 10 of
nnn,. The header and footer show up fine, but I don't get any results. if
there are more than 10 records found, I get the buttons for the next page
of results and they work, but it always just says its showing result nn -
nn of nnn, without actually showing any result records.
I installed the rpm of Dig3.1.5. The number of results it's getting for
various phrases seems correct. I wanted to make sure I had the common_dir
set correctly so I added a line to footer.html and it DID show up in the
results.
I started by leaving the template_map and template_name commented out in
htdig.conf and I've also tried specifying them. I haven't modified the
long.html and short.html that came with the install.
If you want to see what I'm talking about, go to
http://www.booksnbytes.com/cgi-bin/htsearch.cgi and search for an SF
authors name such as david weber. It looks like it works, but there aren't
any details on the records found.
I've tried every combination of settings I can find. It looks like it
works, but NO details on the records found. Can anyone offer a suggestion
as to what I'm doing wrong?
