I assume you mean 3.2.0b3, released in Feb 2001.  I'd recommend
running the latest 3.2.0b4 development snapshot, available from
http://www.htdig.org/files/snapshots, to rule out any problems that
have already been fixed (there were many!).

If the problem persists, let us know.  It seems to be resolving the
URLs, but not pushing them, yet not saying why it's rejecting them.
This might indicate that it thinks the URL is already visited, which
might be a symptom of a problem in the Dictionary class on the Alpha.
If the 3.2.0b4 snapshot doesn't fix the problem, I'd suggest adding
a trace print in Retriever::Need2Get() in htdig/Retriever.cc, to see
what value it's returning for each URL.
