Fair enough.  I might have misunderstood because you reposted the whole
error output from the sunfire system, even though it was already quoted
below your reposting.  I thought you were presenting it as new information
after another test.

Obviously the compilers and header files aren't set up the same way on
your ultra 5 system and the sunfire.  The ultra 5 seems to be compiling
properly, missing header files in htdig 3.2 notwithstanding.  See if you
can't come up with a similar configuration of compiler and header files
on the sunfire.

Looking forward to the report about your test of the suggested changes
to WordDB.h et al.  Geoff, do you think you could locate an appropriate
version of the missing db.h file?
